A friend of mine has a '58 Oliver supet 55. Last fall he split it apart to put pto clutches in it. When he put it back together this summer, the clutch would not release. I went over to help him split it apart and check the clutch. The center of the disc was bent in a concave shape, thinking that was the problem, he ordered a disc and we put it in, same problem, impossible to adjust the clutch to get it to release. he then ordered a pressure plate and t/o bearing and replaced them. he mowed and baled for two days, at the end of the second day, he drove up into his yard to park it for the nightand the clutch would not release, almost ran into his house. there seems to be noabnormal wear on the release fork or t/o bearing hub. he and i are at a loss as to what the problem could be. does anybody out know of anyone having a similar problem, or any suggestions as to what the problem could be. Any help would greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance jimboy@citlink.net
