It depends on what time frame you are talking about. If you go back to the late 70's early 80's the Kioti were license built past model Kubota intended for other markets, just as FIAT licenced what amounted to copies of their tractors by UTB, and a company in Brazil whose name escapes me now. The UTB copies ended up being brought into the US as the Allis Chalmers 5040/5050 and Long and Agri-Power brought in some of the Brazillian ones. So at one time Kioti WAS a Kubota, just not now.
