She went less than 1/2 a mile this morning. Engine rpms went high, like I was spinning a tire on ice. Stopped the car. Drove away in first gear, but that is all I have. No reverse, but acts like it would like to move. It is noisy like something may have broken, but not to bad.
It does have a button on the lower instrument panel for starting out in second gear. It is a overdrive type tranny. First time for a tranny problem. 3.1 engine. 257K miles
Just hoping someone can offer a possible, simple fix.
