Yes, Dalgety took them over in 1971, the first thing they did was to close all but one of the IH dealers, Plowright, Wigg and Plowright, Wiggs of Barnby and make them all Ford dealers. Then the Wrights mechanics were training all the other dealer mechanics and sorting out their problems. Within a few months they reduced our wages at Wrights and I personally lost between 300.00 and 400.00 over the harvest period working the same hours as I had previously. That could not go on so I left as soon as I saw an opening and went into the manufacture of dental products. Over the next few years most of my colleagues left too so breaking up a group of mechanics that had links back to the days of the Model F and Case tractors and machinery of the 1930's Wrights started business in 1888, took a Ford agency in 1912, started working with Ford tractors in 1918, Case agents in 1936 before being asset stripped by Dalgety in the 1980's.
I spent a year in the furnace room melting silver, tin copper and zinc together and producing the material that was mixed with mercury for fillings.
