The first thing we need to know is which Simms injection pump you have. Does it have a vacuum control unit on the back of the pump or is it one of two that are governor controlled units. There is a number or tag on the pump identifying the pump type.
The second thing we need to know is what is it doing or not doing?
Do you have any pics? The original Dextas have a Simms injection pump that has a vacuum line that crosses over to the intake manifold. The Simms Minimax injection pumps do not have the vacuum diaphragm assembly at the rear of the pump.
