dexta injector pump

The first thing we need to know is which Simms injection pump you have. Does it have a vacuum control unit on the back of the pump or is it one of two that are governor controlled units. There is a number or tag on the pump identifying the pump type.

The second thing we need to know is what is it doing or not doing?

Do you have any pics? The original Dextas have a Simms injection pump that has a vacuum line that crosses over to the intake manifold. The Simms Minimax injection pumps do not have the vacuum diaphragm assembly at the rear of the pump.
 
There is no "kit" available for simms pumps. There is gasket kits, but each hard part for this pump you hunt up separately. Some of the parts are no longer available from Delphi so you need to hunt up used or after market. I did 2 SPE style pumps off Ford Majors Last week. These were the Vacuum type. The P style have mechanical Gov. It is almost impossible to calibrate these pumps after repairs with out a test stand. Al
 
I did not ask if you wanted it repaired. There are some companies especially in Britain that will swap out your pump for a rebuilt one.
