Sounds to me like you are practicing defensive driving like I was taught to do. All it's cost you is a few minutes of time and that was given to you. The alternative might just cost someone their life. To me it's a no brainier. Sadly for the majority now a days it doesn't matter who doesn't make it home in one piece cause all that matters is ME.
