Excellent point, before considering taking it to a dealer you need to make sure they have a mechanic well versed in the closed center systems. Not all of them do.
On the other hand, not everyone has the tools to test everything properly, or the means to split the tractor if it ends up needing it. But I'd suggest trying to at least narrow it down with advice here before going to a dealer. I've gone that direction before, and the price tag was staggering. Though they had me up and running in a week and a half, even with major work needing done.
