You missed the important part.......1st Cav Division. When I retired in 96 everything in a division level Cav Squadron and ARC was a troop. When I was assigned to B co 2/10 Cav BN we were a company. And in fact that's what we were an Armor Company. And although I'm not sure I think that is where the difference is. IF the unit's Table of Organization and Equipment (TO&E) is that of an armor or infantry company then that's what it is. If the TO&E is a Cav troop TO&E then it's a troop.
