I used that very same seeder on a Ford 1920 for years. Your issue will be lifting it in regard to 3 point lift capacity and then keeping the front end on the ground for steering and stability concerns. My 1920 always had a loader on it for curing the teeter totter issues. In some ways your 1720 will work better as it is narrower so can get closer to the edge of where you want to plant. Eventually the brushes inside the seed box will need to be replaced.
