I used a steering box for a tilt top table. The table has two "A" frame sides, with an "eye" or bushing on top.The steering box is fastened to the table frame. The sector shaft is connected to a tube, across and under the table top. The table top is made narrower than the distance between the "A" frame sides. This allows the top to go between the sides (legs) when tilted. The worm shaft has a crank handle on it, There is a hole drilled in the frame with a pin, to hold the tilt that you want. I use the table when rebuilding transmissions. I have various shape bolts to fasten the transmission housing to the table top. I can have the transmission horizontal or vertical,or anywhere in between, depending on what I need to do. This table could also be used as a welding table. Fasten your project, and tilt for best welding. Sorry, I am not able to provide photos.
