+1. I have the '11 4.8 Silverado and when the truck is basically empty with 2 adults, it's really lively, very impressed with the performance and mileage is more than adequate.
When I add my 6'x 18' covered stock trailer with the big solid front, above 55 you really feel the engine working on it, even with the 4 speed tranny in "Tow-Haul". So I just throttle back, pull over periodically when I see traffic backing up and be on my way. Don't pull a trailer very often so it's not a big deal.
