Not for the cows anyway. There's a sewer system for two lakes here in the township. The ponds are out behind the college, three miles north of me as the crow flies. The guy who runs the whole thing is on board of review with me. He said there was some alfalfa under the pivots north of the ponds and asked me back in March if I wanted to cut it. I called him last week and asked if anybody had cut it. He said no,go ahead and cut it if I wanted to. He said he was up there right then and said to come up and look at it. I'd just gotten out of the shower and told him I'd just go up today and cut it. He left the gates unlocked for me this morning.
When I got up there,I didn't see any alfalfa. All there was was canary grass, yellow nutsedge, canadian thistle, kocia and cat tails. The worst of it was the ruts. There are four single tower pivots and four big circles, some of them more than knee deep. I walked out there and found those, got right back in the cab, drove out, locked the gates and left. I appreciate the offer, but no thanks.
