SVcummins: Any sun shade or canopy by there selves,will make it colder in the winter. There is about always a breeze under them. I had a Duetz-Alis 6275 that came from the factory with a canopy top. The first fall I drilled wheat I stop and took the time to unbolt it and store it for winter. Now I have two JD 4020s that have the factory roll guard and steel canopy. I have the Front window glass and side curtains for them and the top makes it almost like a heated cab inside. Even a wind directly in the back still kind of goes around.
