I guess i am one of the odd men out here. I always cut the outside round first then swing around and continue inward round and round. The mower always picks it up well since its run down in the opposite direction. It bothers me to see that uncut strip on the outside I want a clean cut from the outside in.
The last few rounds I usually cut in rows and pick up on the ends that way the mower runs down less. I usually go back and double cut the corners where the mower runs down the hay to keep the field clean.
