From you description" "It goes up a few more inches"....tells me you have a low pressure problem.A worn pump will put out more pressure when ypu increase the RPM. A 560 doesn't have the best pressure when new. After over 50+ years,the system is worn, You are getting reduced pressure.I don't remember off the top of my head what the pressure should be.Someone here will chime in on that.A new hydraulic pump will be in order.run a pressure test to find out.Easy to do. Get a (minimum)2500 lb(I have a 5000lb gauge) gauge.Put a hydraulic coupler to it(a short length of 1/" hose is handy) and simply plug in to a remote and pull the handle.
