Yep I buy neck bones when I can find them locally but most times all you can find is hocks. There is a big meat market about 25 miles from me and they always have them and a lot more stuff I can't find close to home. They cater to the Hispanic people in the area and have a lot of different cuts of meat. One thing they do have that I love are beef ribs cut across the bone in half inch thick strips. One of my contractors told me about them and I've been cooking from time to time for years. I marinate them overnight and then cook them for about 30 minutes on the big grill then I make a port wine reduction add that to some green peppers and onion and put all of that with the meat in a big cast iron pot and put it back on the grill for about 3 more hours. Man that is some good eating!
