I have an old lawn mower I bought at JC Penny about 42 years ago,it has a 4 HP Briggs engine and it is plumb wore out,smokes a lot and uses a lot of oil.I just bought a new engine for it so was wondering how long it would last with no oil.I drained it then started it up just to see how long it would run I set it wide open and it ran for 10 minutes till it got so hot and seized up and quit.About an hour later I pulled the rope and it broke loose so this morning I thought why not,I put oil in it and it started right up and ran like it always did except no smoke.I never saw anything so tough in my life I almost feel sorry for it now.I think I'll mount it on my shop wall.
