The hose is the bottom sump hose for the hydro, which contains 11 gallons of oil. Hose had a small crack in it, and was leaving drips on the floor. When I ordered the replacement hose I asked the dealer if he had any advice. He said don't drain the oil, hook a vacuum cleaner hose to the fill tube and turn it on. Then remove the hose, and no oil will leak out because the vacuum is holding the oil from running out. And, the air volume in the top of the housing keeps the oil from being sucked into the vacuum. I posted here for advice as it sounded like a mess in the making, but most replies indicated the process does work. And sure enough it did.
