Once you get the wheel off there is a dust seal to pop off and then there is a snap ring holding the rubber seal in remove the old seal and install the new one with th cup down, now when you reinstall the snap ring be sure to install with the sharp side up that way it will bite and not pop out----- snap rings are stamped out which leaves one side kind of rounded and the other side more sharp or square just feel of it against your finger a you can tell ------ this from a old IHC service bulletin
