Is it a tom? This is the time of year when they get their dander up with another tom. The other day when I was walking to the barn there was a terrible cat fight going on in there. When I opened the door the cats were gone but there was yellow hair laying all over the floor. When I fed the cats a yellow tom came out of the darkness looking like he had been through a butcher shop. Then another much bigger tom showed up walking stiff legged and wide eyed but untouched. The funny part was they were peacefully eating side by side at the cat dish.
