Again, what difference does the term ' assault rifle ' make when it is the gun that seems popular for these shootings. I do not think banning them will be the end of the problems we have. However I do believe that the NRA will, at some point in time, lose control of enough congressional seats that something will be done in response to public outcry. Would it not be better to try to get ahead of it? Make some concessions so you can have some moral ground to stand on later. But I only have an opinion. Everyone else has one and it may continue like it is for years to come.
