Just wanted to thank John T., Janicholson, and all the others who responded to my questions on the alternator thread yesterday. I will be taking this on in the next few weeks. First off, we will be polarizing and checking out the existing generator and regulator, as someone had suggested, to see if it can be made to work.
If not, then I no doubt will be converting it over to an alternator, using the information you all have supplied.
I wanted to post this thank you separately, in case you guys don't use the modern view. I made a similar post yesterday in the thread itself, but then realized that the 18th century classic view had this thing broken down into 3 or 4 separate threads. So just wanted to make sure you guys saw it and knew how much your help was appreciated.
