This picture tells all. I had to look at some of the old posts to be sure but the wiring diagram is for a generator which is what the tractor came out with. Some one has replaced the generator with a Delco 10SI alternator which has a built in voltage regulator and is wired totally different, No regulator should be used on this setup. Some one probably used the old wire harness and rerouted what was needed to make it work and cut off the parts that were not needed. Several wiring diagrams are in the archives as to how to wire these. I hope you haven't ruined a new alternator by miss wiring it.
