NY 986 I think your seeing your area well. There just are not many real positive things going on if production agriculture right now. I also agree that depending on exports for your major markets is spotting as far as pricing goes.
Weather effect production more than just about anything else. So now you have the weather world wide effecting prices. This last price jump in 2010 was a result of this. Russia and Australia had wipe out in their wheat production. It cause a world wide shortage of feed protein. That is what ran up prices so fast. It was not just an expanding domestic market. So now the rest of the world ramped up production so the price swing is going the other way. I think we are not even near the bottom yet. We are NOT the lowest cost producers in the world. The market will have to go down far enough for them to slow down production before the market will swing back up.
