I am far from retirement age wise and having the financial ability to do so. Land prices are clearly backing off their highs from 3 years ago here. A few properties are on the market priced at values from 3 years and they have been sitting for several months. One "gambler" that bought heavy several years ago is selling down and presumably get out from under some debt. There is no enthusiasm coming out of the dairy guys which is understandable. There is also talk that these are watershed times in that a lot is happening in other parts of the world and that the US will lose its export outlets that it has relied on for so long. The farm is making money but my wife has had some setbacks that have cost us so money is tight. There is iron I would not mind having but the buildings could really stand some new roofs.
