I spent four years at Chanute AFB. I much prefer shoveling a little snow here in sw Wi to the Illinois ice storms. Lived in Gulfport MS for seven years and I will take the tornadoes over the hurricanes. Far less chance of getting hit. Never had my water pipes frozen up here in WI (we are prepared for the freezing temps). In MS I fixed a lot of frozen pipes for others. When I remodeled the house I fixed it so I could completely drain the system if it was going to get down to freezing temps. It helps that I was born in northern Wisconsin to begin with. Where men are men and the women are even stronger.
