Sorry for your loss. Be glad you had such a wonderful dog in your life. Dogs come and dogs go , BUT REALLY GOOD ones are few and far between ! You had a REALLY GOOD one ! One like that will be extremely hard to replace if you decide to try.
I too lost a dog this spring we had for around that long. Ours was named Patches and was mostly or part blue heeler. She was an outside dog and as such never got as much attention as she deserved. But her job was patrolling around the property and keeping the riff raff out which she did very well.
