I�ve had similiar discussions about this. I�ve had to explain to a family member why it�s rude. On the flip side, a woman I know lost her husband and by not discussing equipment with her and just expressing condolences, I didn�t learn she was stressed about dealing with it and called a scrapper and gave away everything to anyone. She didn�t realize the value of it all as she didn�t run the farm.
