I had a 674 diesel with loader for several years- never had any trouble with it- as others have said, easy to leave the parking brake on and burn it up. Shift linkage was different, but worked OK if you lubed it once in awhile (shoot some WD40 into it, good to go. Engine was noisy- but seems like most higher horsepower 4 cylinders are (maybe I was just spoiled with the 6 cylinder Olivers).
