: After removing the hydraulic pump from my 46 M Farmall, I found that I could not get the yoke off the shaft that turns the pump. It has to come off in order to replace the seal. How does the yoke come off? Thanks for any help! We have the same problem on an MD. Mechanic told us to put a thin piece of wood between the gears, make a "wrench" with some square stock to fit the slot and a long handle, and turn the nut off. It is a "nut" on the shaft, the thread is left or right depending on what would tighten the nut when it was driving the pump. We haven't had a chance to try the remedy. I let you know if we were successful. You can try it and let me know how it turned out!
