We put digital controls on our two main air compressors at work, by throttling the intake and waste valves it is supposed to eliminate surge. Last week we surged one of them coming out of a maintenance outage. I think the new, clean intake filters may have something to do with it, but it's just a hunch. The DCS shut it down right quick, but just as the other one was being taken off line. Gave some folks quite the nerves...
