The B terminal connects to the power from the ignition switch. Should get voltage only when the ignition switch is on.
The T terminal connects to the wire from the sending unit in the tank.
The terminal in the center of the black appears to be the light. It would connect to the light switch, it is optional and will not effect the operation of the gauge.
The gauge case (the upside down Christmas tree) needs to be grounded to the chassis. It will probably ground through contact with the dash as long as the surface is clean and the bracket tight.
Also the fuel tank and sending unit case need to be grounded for the gauge to work.
