I think we can help you out, here- best thing to do is locate the serial number. Go to http://members.aol.com/naa60512/serial.htm (you can click the link below if you like).

I would guess that you have one of the later Hundred series Fords, perhaps one of the -01 series tractors rather than a Golden Jubilee/NAA. This is extremely easy to determine; look to the front of the tractor- is the small hole at the bottom of the grill round or oblong? A round hole indicates a Golden Jubilee/NAA, and an oblong hole indicates a Hundred series tractor. Of course, sheet metal is interchangable, so it is entirely possible to have an oblong hole grill on a Golden Jubilee/NAA and a round hole grille on a Hundred series. Look at the hydraulic pressure and return lines, below the (external) hydraulic pump, right side of tractor. Separate pressure and return lines are found only on the Golden Jubilee/NAA. The Hundred series Fords featured a redesigned one-piece (essentially) line. You can view photographs in a side-by-side comparison of these different lines @ http://members.aol.com/naa60512/compare.htm.

There are a lot of little differences between the Golden Jubilee/NAA and the Hundred series Fords. Does it have the combination tool box/step plate (running board) on the left side? This was a feature unique to the Golden Jubilee/NAA. Is the fuel sediment bowl below the gas tank on the right side (Golden Jubilee/NAA) or is it in front of the carb. on the left (Hundred series)?

Today's Featured Article - Third Brush Generators - by Chris Pratt. While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery. I have picked up and attempted to read every auto and farm electrics book with no improvement in the situation. They all seem to start with a chapter entitled "Theory of Electricity". After a few paragraphs I usually close the book and go back to banging out dents. A good friend and I were recently discussing our tractor electrical systems when he stated "I figure it all comes back to applying Ohms Law". At this point ... [Read Article]
