Had a 4-H steer that would bloat up from time to time usually the morning of a show. A well respected showman told me to throw a pound of butter in to my tack box for this issue. The butter was easy to get in to the animal but you would be advised to stand to the side as its effect could be fast and somewhat explosive. No tube to mess around with.
