A while back, a guy I knew was getting rid of some docks. Said I could have them if I picked them up. Asked how much he wanted for them. He said "they're yours". Thanked him and gave him a gallon of his favorite whiskey. He heard that I have a wood chipper mounted on a trailer. Wanted to borrow it. I said no. Told him I didn't think it would make the 75 mile trip to his place (true as the wheel bearings were questionable). He was pretty quiet about it. I know he was not happy figuring he'd just GIVEN me some stuff. But I don't lend ANYONE equipment anymore, unless I go with it. Have had too much stuff stay in someone's garage or come back dirty and in need of some maintenance.

Over the fourth of July weekend, the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield, Illinois, was the site of the Old Gold National Antique Tractor Show.
