We switched to an Apple Mac (ours is a Mac Mini), along with iPads (using one typing this reply) and iPhones.
Nothing is perfect, but I no longer wrestle with virus software.
Also - I've read the built-in virus protection built into Microsoft's Windows 10 is sufficient. Unless you are surfing websites you shouldn't be on, probably won't have an issue.
