After having been in auto sales for some years, both with my own lot and as a GM salesman, I can tell some interesting stories. But none as heartbreaking as that.
I recall once at the GM dealer, we sold a lady a new Chevy minivan. A week later, she came back, just livid, cussing the van up one side and down the other. By listening closely to her rant, we gathered there was a rattle of some kind in the floor. We had the service department check it out.
They found a jar of pickles rolling around under the passenger seat.
After the years I spent in both auto sales and service, plus having been a Claims Adjuster working vehicle service contracts for ten years, I could write a book. Maybe some day I will.
