I have an issue with the fuel filter on my tractor. I picked up a new Hastings filter for it and it would not slide up onto the stub of the filter base, and if I force it the filter will crush when canister is tightened down. I took filter back and said it doesn't fit. I also had the old one which did fit. All the filter books say the hole in the top of filter should be .500". The old filter had a plastic top holding the filter together and apparently opened up a bit to fit on the stub. The new filter has a steel top on it, and my filter stub measures .545". I went to local Kubota dealer and picked up a genuine Kubota filter #15231-43560. It also measures .500" with metal top. I carefully washed my old filter and reinstalled it to keep going. I don't dare take the die grinder to the top of the metal ring so it will fit. Too likely to get a filing into the injection pump. Have you run into this problem, and how did you solve it????? Loren

Silo Filling Time On dairy farms back in the 30's and into the first half of the 40's, making of corn silage was done with horses pulling a corn binder producing tied bundles of fresh, sweet-smelling corn plants, nice green leaves with ear; the
