The problem is finding that $2 item for $2. Sellers here want $40 for the same $2 import item, maybe with a different color paint. The cost of the freight is not getting it here from China, it's getting it from the warehouse to your house.
I really don't know how they do it. I bought a 5v computer fan recently for $3.25, epacket delivery straight from China. It's not very heavy but it's not much postage, either. Also bought a $109 stainless steel vent hood, 40 lbs, free delivery, excellent quality. Bought it for a welding exhaust hood for my shop and was really surprised at how good the quality was. Electronic touch controls I had to relocate so I had to get inside it.
