The old seal puller was called "sneaky pete" but has changed over the years to a newer style.
It had a cork screw type of wire that could be screwed into the old rope seal, and pull it out,, and a "chinese finger grip" type wire for pulling the new seal in. and it would flex around the crank and pull the seal behind it.
