I had a Deere 7000 8x30 planter years ago that the monitor would sound every so often in the middle of a field for seemingly no reason at all. The population would drop off and I just knew that it must be the radar speed sensor. I even took it out on a gravel road and tested it and it was planting perfect. Besides I had planted thousands of acres with that planter and never missed a beat so it had to be something in that monitor. Come to find out I had greased the main mechanical clutch too much and it was working apart while going across the field. Just a washer behind a cotter pin was enough to tighten up tension spring on the clutch cured the problem but that field sure looked like it suffered from a lot of cultivator blight when it came up. Another case if a person could sell their experience for half of what it had cost you could be very wealthy.
