A lot of people were afraid of them in the beginning because of the flying tail. My first instructor wanted to land hot. The second instructor said what is this all about the first time out when he wanted me to call out what I was doing as I did it. When calling out 60 over the fence he said do a go around and I'll take the controls and he went over the fence at 50. Made a big difference. Slowing down that much let it land like a glider. I did most of my flying taking and picking up mold or machine parts for the factory I worked for. Very little actual pleasure flying even though every minute in the seat was a pleasure.
