Have a planter clutch stuck in drive. Two repair attempts. First worked - just a good cleaning and got her freed up and she went into/out of drive just fine for about 20 minutes - then stuck to drive again...
Today I took apart the clutch - didn't remove the drive bar - because that looks a "tough job" and I'm not having problems w skips or typical wear issues.
There are two "U" shaped "keys" and one was broken caught up in the mechanism....Vola!!!! I thought for sure I had my problem but no. I replaced both "keys", got her back together and same problem. Planter just stuck in drive and always plants even when she is up.
Clutch looks good otherwise.
I have a new clutch sitting here - but based on what I see - I'll replace it, and the problem will persist. Anyone have any ideas?
