I used to haul my cutter like back and forth from the house here to the farm several times a summer. I used the 9523 same as the Allis 5020. I never hook the top link. I laid a plank and let the back wheel carry the cutter up the plank. The only time I ever hooked the top link was when I hooked it to my Oliver 1650 to lift over spoiled bales to let it down over them to grind them up. I use a heaver truck and still carry block of wood to put under the rear of the trailer when loading the Oliver 1850's or 1650. My ramp feet do hit the ground when down. With three tractors on I move ahead a bit to lift the ramps.
