well as far as im concerned with seized engines you need to take them apart.i just removed the head on a w6 tractor last week end that was stuck, hone the rust out cleaned the cyl's nice, blew it all out with air as best i could along cyl and piston.put ATF 1 inch above pistons. i will see this weekend and also let you guys know what has happened. this is all a crock to me! but im going to prove it like the myth busters.! i also removed the oil pan and it was full of sludge. oil pick up screen was mostly plugged also. so i dont get how adding atf to the cyl's automatically free's up your engine and away you go,... ha ha ha. i can see myself removing the sleeves with pistons and peeling them off. and replacing sleeves. how come some people have all the luck??? as it dont work for me.
