ALS is a tough disease...very degenerative over time. I lost a cousin from that about 20 years ago...he was 48yo. He was actually a double first cousin...his mom and dad were sis/bro of my mom and dad. I remember how he was carried by his older brother into a stadium for a religious revival program......reminded me of the adv for Boy"s Town...he ain"t heavy, he"s my brother. I had 92 first cousins....he was in my top 3...also a Nam vet, USN. Just a wonderful person. Tragic demise.
