Your story makes me wonder about those guys. I had a few coming to my house cutting firewood to sell. They'd buggy up here from 15 miles away, saw wood all day, and go home. All week the temp never got above 0 deg.F. Those poor guys would be frozen stiff when they got here. I'd bring them in the house, throw their boots in the dryer and make them a pot of coffee, then I found out they didn't speak English (awkward) , and build a fire in the stove in the garage before I went to work. We had a pretty good system and they were moving some wood, then the Bishop (or whoever) found out they were using chain saws instead of bucksaws. Soon after, they just abandoned the project because it was just too dang cold to go too dang far and do all that work by hand. Just some guys trying to feed their families had to find less profitable work, but the Bishop got to show how smart he was.
