You are right about sycamore trees. There are many of them in Terre Haute. They are ISU's tree.

I hate the tree, as soon it produces leafs in the spring it starts dropping the big leafs. A messy tree. I made a deal with neighbor, if I cut down my last sycamore tree he would too. We were both very happy to get rid of them.

This is the first time I've gotten a load of chips like this. Good bet it is sycamore because I don't see any dark bark like a maple tree would have.

No one wants sycamore for fire wood, they say it too soft wood.
