Been watching Craigs list lately for possible tractor project and maybe I've just lost touch with prices but it sure seems to me like many people on there are asking double or more what a tractor from the 40's and 50's is worth. They are not even listed as restored to try to justify the cost. One example I saw last night was a JDR for $20,000. I've seen Cubs for $4000. Maybe these guys told the spouse the would sell them and know a high enough price won't bring any buyers. HA HA. Are these guys crazy or am I crazy? I did just pay double what a non running Farmall 100 was worth at an auction so maybe its me.
